Project CT

I thought I would post a few pictures of my latest CT project. Originally I had planned to do the project in Red but my 3 year old son insisted on Blue.

I hope to have the re-assembly done in the next couple of weeks. More updates to follow.

Re: Project CT

Thanks for all of the comments. I with post pictures as things progress.

Razzo - I think the next CT project will have to be a John Deere format since we are in the heart of JD country!

Re: Project CT

Looks good! I always like to see a nice CT! A few pieces of constructive feedback:

1. The rear muffler clamp should be moved so the badging on the cannister isn't covered. I had this same muffler on my CT70 for a while. You may have to go to Home Depot and get a different piece of aluminum though.

2. Ditch the plain jane magneto cover and buy a genuine honda one...it will look much better and a good look for $35 at dratv

3. Get an oil cooler for the bike and mount it off the engine guard set. Running these at street speeds for extended periods of time will cook the motor.

4. Then you also need an oil catch tank. Get both at akunar on the cheap.

I like it...looks good and clean!

Re: Project CT

Thanks for all of the comments. The JD edition will be next!

Gearing is 17 - 35. Cruises very nicely at 40 - 45 mph. The AHP engine is exceptional smooth for road use.

Re: Project CT

Great job on the bike.

John Deere is too common. Go for a Massey-Ferguson look and the old timers will bow in your honor..

JD would be pretty easy and could be used in parades..
