i have a 70 or 71 ct70 with bmx bars on it and would like to put the original bars back on it. i do not have the oe top mount and cant seem to find the right one. the other ct that i have that is the same year has a solid aluminum top plate that the bars bolt into but mine is a two piece setup. is it possible that the two piece setup is oe or should it have the aluminum top plate.

you mean no one can help me with this??? all i want to do is find a one piece top plate to use the original handlebars.. oh yeah im also looking for an original left side handlebar with the rear brake perch welded on.

The KO's came with the one piece top plate with molded bar clamps, Then came the two piece top bar clamps with the top piece that bolts to the plate.. All depends on what year your bike is and what forks/headlight you have on the bike... Take a picture and let's see what you've got..

found one and it is nos in the package had to pay a little for it at $125 but it was in the original package. now i just need to find a nice pair of bars with the rear brake perch welded to the bar.
