| I need to extend a great Thanks to the staff at Cycles 128 for making the weekend what it was beyond the racing. My situation was a little different than most this past weekend and I want to say, Thank-You. I had a 6+ hour drive to get to the event and since my fiancee wanted to go to Boston to do some shopping and see her old school(B.U.), we decided to make a long weekend out of it. We travelled up and arrived there on friday around noon and met with Greg(Flugie) who had called me when I posted-up inquiring about a place to store my bike and trailer. He invited me to leave everything with them at the shop while we went site-seeing. I dropped off the bike, trailer, fuel, EZ-up and cooler and we went on our way. We stayed in Peabody that night and when we arrived at the track, the guys already took everything(bike, stand, fuel, tools) out and set it up under their tent for me!!!!! ---- insert all the days racing here ------------- We all hung out for the event and had a great time and then, since we were doing some more "stuff" in the city on Monday, they stored everything again that evening so I didn't have to drag it with me. We then showed up around 5pm monday night to retrieve everything and say our thank-you's and good-bye's and were even invited back up to ride/visit/jet-ski or whale watch. What a great bunch of guys. I had the pleasure of spending time with Todd and swapping some tech-tips and riding techniques(one sided since I pretty much suck). I was also lucky to meet with Keith(sales mgr) and John(GM) and share a few beers as we all tore down the event site. I really couldn't believe the hospitality that they all showed Jennifer and I during the weekend and felt compelled to write this post so in some small way, show my/our appreciation. Lastly, I also want to thank OldSchool and FastMC who both helped with the logistics of making the trip and also offering to store all of our gear for the weekend. It was nice to attend an event so far away and finally meet some of the guys who post on this and other forums. Its always good to be able to shake hands with someone and put a face with their screen name/avatar. Good to meet you guys, Millbillyfiddy, Kurlon, JohnnyB and whoever I may have forgotten. THANK-YOU guys for making it a memorable race and now I need to practice ALOT more so next year I can bring a better game to the event. We will be back and I hope I can spread the word and bring a few riders from down here with us. Until next year, Dan & Jennifer Last edited by w650gb500; 11-06-2007 at 06:12 PM. |
