Re: 2008 National is set!!!

SCHAWEEET! I'm already working on winding up the Maine contingent, can't wait to race with ya! Mini GP on a national scale, yee haw!

Looks like my two machines slot into F2 (110cc manual clutch Honda) and... gulp... F4 (151cc air cooled 4 stroke). Do you run an 85 or do I need to bump to F3 with my 110cc machine to at least be on the track at the same time as you? : )

These classes have nothing to do with SEMRA. I built these classes to try to cater to every organization. Cam

The track is huge. I will make sure the NSR/RS GP chassis bikes have a chance. We can choose from 8 configurations.

Re: 2008 National Mini Roadrace is set!!!

The NSR and RS Chassis can work pretty well here. The NSR is very good for most of the track. There are two turns that are pretty tight on the RS but can be done. I have ridden both bikes on the track and found them to work well. Cam are you looking at the track configs NWGP runs? I would say if you are the Long or short 90 config would probably work best for most of the bikes.

Long 90 -

Short 90 -

Scott and I have not decided what the lay out will be yet. I don't want to handicap the GP bikes but I also don't want to reward the guy with 28hp with a very long straight.......

Re: 2008 National Mini Roadrace is set!!!

CAM looks like no matter what there is going to be at least 1 LONG straightaway... I race a 4 speed F1 bike.. 95 superhead but out of the 2 tracks looks like the 90 LONG would help some of us smaller bikes... Ur gonna have that 1 big straight but no need for 2 right???...That 90 LONG gets rid of that second straight.... Oh and CAM has a bad ass 65 he also races in F1 dont let him trick ya LOL..... Hey fellas do U run it counter or Clockwise from the aerial shot there...

Re: 2008 National Mini Roadrace is set!!!

Well, I may have a 1980 Yamaha ??? to make a larger machine out of. All I know at this point is 'it has a carb kit' so that must mean it's fast, right? : )

Re: 2008 National Mini Roadrace is set!!!

Update - The machine is a YZ80, no idea on the year. Any reason I shouldn't build it as a F4 machine? : )

(And did the class structure get tweaked? F3 now shows 151cc as the limit, which means with the YZ I'd have 3 classes of fun... :P)
