you pretty nailed it in lamens terms.....
just gotta carefully go through every single port hole on the carb to make sure there isnt a clog anywhere. Then once you know you got it all cleaned out its time to inspect all the parts u just removed to ensure they are not damaged or clogged.
I found a port on the needle jet that had some debris in there and got it all cleaned out. Im sure that that was the main problem in the carb. Not being able to flow enough fuel through, thus creating pressure in the bowl and blowing it out the overflow tube.
The float level was actually perfect i just had to straigthen the flap out a lil cuz one side was bent at more of an angle than the other side. got that straight and cleaned the living hell out of the carb.
Put it all back together, primed the system with gas. kicked her over a few times and WAAAALAAAAA.
BIKE IS FIXED.
we went out to the track a few days after that so i could make sure that the jetting was 100% dialed in and i think Brian "hatterascast" officially got the "MINI BUG". Yep hes hooked.
Hope this thread can be of some help to those of you with the same problem. I know i hear about this all the time.
and we all know why it comes up again and again........nobody knows how to search and this site doesnt sticky anything worth a damn. just my .02 on that.......there are a million threads that can be cleaned up some and made a sticky to help people with tech ?'s just like this one.
but what more can you ask from a site that rakes in $2k-4K a month in advertising.
