| Re: Ncc? I wrote this in another thread but brought it here to drive the point home. I can't believe you've waited that long for a motor? I'm not saying it's not true but I wondering what the rest of the story is? Either on your side or NCC's? They GAVE me parts on my word alone when i had a motor failure and that's bitchin' if you ask me. No I'm not sponsored by them and have never met them just PM's in here. My motor was sent in record time and I was pleasantly surprised at what NCC had done to the motor after they received it from the OEM. Just one Nutcases story and I hope it eases your mind a little. This story has to be told. I have been having major problems with my YX150. After chasin' the problem from one end of the motor to the other I believe I'd found the problem. It wasn't the motor I concluded it was the angle of the carb on the motor. The angle was so severe that the float never stopped the flow of fuel into it once the bowl was full. Well I crafted a spacer that re-angled the intake and in turn the carb. The bowl in the end was almost flat. This trial by fire took quite some time to muddle through. When I was done I was tired and here in south Georgia the heat and humidity were killing me. I decided to push start the bike instead of kick it. After a couple try's I was really wasted so I started kick-starting. This was when I noticed a whoosing sound and no back pressure when I kicked. I had a huge sinking feeling. I checked the plug to see if it was not in place and that was the leak. Nope it was tight. So I pulled the plug and the ceramic end was cracked off and the electrode was smashed into the led. Dread was weighing on my shoulders now. So pull the head and....$%#*&!!*& The exhaust valve had snapped off. It looks like the valve stuck open and the piston smacked into it There was a nice round mark on the piston. I think it bent then I beat the hell out of it still trying to start the bike. Well I had less than 5 minutes run time on the motor and I was dead on funds to replace the parts. Now the smokin', totally killer, I can't believe a dealer is this good part. I contacted NCC and told them the problem. I asked for a little help and not believing a dealer would give me a deal on parts I felt a full price discussion was on the way. Like I said fundage was low so I asked about buying good used takeoff parts. Well NCC was having none of that and told me they were replacing the parts for "FREE!" Seven days later I got the parts and they're cherry! If you need something and you go somewhere else shame on yeah. These guys stand right behind their products not way behind or off to the side like some dealers. NCC I'll be back |
