I have a mikuni 26mm Carb hooked up to my motor and i have some issues with it.

When I turn my fuel pet cock on, I can kick the bike up and everything is good. when I shut the motor off, within seconds, the fuel starts pouring out of the tube all over the ground. I have to shut the petcock to off for it to stop.

Sometimes this happens when Im riding and it kills the motor cause the fuel is going to the ground and not the motor. Every now and then when i turn the petcock to on, it will pour out.

I've been told the float inside is not seating well and to just tap the carb so the flotat "fixes" itself - this worked 1 time. Now im having issues and kep standing in puddles of fuel. What do i do? Is the carb defective?

Oh and this is not an ebay wonder carb - it's a genuine mikuni 26mm carb bought from minigunz.
