| Re: kx 65 swing arm to 110 conversion Coupla ideas... I was looking into a KX65 conversion arm a while back, but I don't weld, and I couldn't find anyone to fab one for me. Here's what I came up with.
I thought about taking a Metaltek swinger-- its' steel-- and grinding off the bridge from it. Then weld on some tabs to use an upright shock with a BBR or other shock tower. If you look at the Metaltek swingarm-- it's similar to a KX65 swingarm, only with a bridge on it. With that, you wouldn't have to worry about the rear wheel lining up.
Now that I saw the Pitster conversion-- I'd be leaning in that direction-- it's cool and cheap!
The third solution? I want to run the whole KX65 as a pit bike! I'm so sick of dicking with 110's-- I just want to drop heavy springs, and mod the 65 shock, and run that. It's a project that I'm thinking about in the near future. ---L*64 |
