I run vr1 20w50 or honda HP4 20w50 they work fine but I also change oil every ride.
As far as breaking in the engine goes I started it let it warm up and did like 5 drag races up and back in a feild changed the oil and called it a day. The bike seems to run better and better every day. Had it for 4 months now and it as good as new!
