You can try Berts Megamall or if you want the ultimate store, Chaparral in San Bernardino. I usually go to these place to try things out and order through ebay or somewhere online.
I screwed up the hairpin because I fixated on where I didn't want to go (bad bad thing). Most of my kart track crashes happened that way. If I was on a big bike, I would've gotten hurt. Luckily the bike is small and I got my feet on the ground like outriggers. Or imagine if there was a car coming the other way! Or if I didn't have the knobbies, or was going a bit faster. I've been on the kart tracks and do fairly well...but the street is a bit different...unfamiliar terrain, unfamiliar bike, unknown conditions...you know what I mean. That's why even on a mini bike, armor is just as important. Trust me, I've crashed a dozen times on the kart track and 25% of those were painful! and that was with full race gear on.
