He has an Idea taken from years ago from the AMA the Buyout Rule with this rule it allows and of the racers in there classes to Own one of the others bikes. this would cover the cost of a brand new bike and the addition of a bar kit and tall seat. So if you went crazy with mods of pipe, bore kit, clutch and bling bling parts your loss there gain!!! Fair..???? not my call

| Re: poor boy/stockers in our series? its a fun idea, definately would be fair competition, but... food for thought: we could easily accomplish the same thing just by having some simple rules. I think that would essentially be the death of the poor boy class. I dont think anyone would be willing to enter with the possibility of having to sell their bike, especially people who take care of their bikes. its like why invest in something we could possibly lose? we all have specific bars, plastics, etc that we like and bought for a reason. I think we'd all end up on cheap china bikes that we dont bother taking care of if we had to start over like that. hopefully that doesnt happen. Last edited by seven-thirty; 11-11-2008 at 10:43 AM. |

| Re: poor boy/stockers in our series? i think what you guys should look in to is just, makin some RULES ,,,just like the CCS racing at NHIS,,just ask Johnny b about it ,,,its easy just a stock class will be a STOCK bike (just like a supersport class)with pipe, factory airbox, jetting is ok,,,fork springs and a shock,,,,,NO LONG TRAVEL SUSPENSION ,,,,,with addition to them rules tires of your choice and bars, pegs and things like that, that makes it better for us big guys,,,just remember you dont want to take the fun out of it ,AND I DO TAKE CARE OF MY BIKES AND I DO NOT WANT TO GIVE THEM UP,but you do what to keep in completive for all ,,,,,and anyways IF YOU DO CHEAT WHY DO YOU FEEL THE NEED TO ,,,,,,,ITS JUST FOR FUN |

i agree with this guy besides the airbox thing. the factory ones are so bad haha. but anyways this is why i started this thread was to get some specific rules put together based on what riders think so we could present them to dave for next year. OLDSCHOOL, what do you think, based on main post?

| Re: poor boy/stockers in our series? as you can see i am with you 110% on this one and i am sure a lot of other people are too ,,, I also think they need a stock 110cc class cause COME ON GUYS A ,B ,AND C QUALIFIERS AND 1 LCQ ,, if you had a stock 110 WITHOUT A MANUAL CLUTCH CLASS ,,, you wouldn't need all of the qualaifers |

| Re: poor boy/stockers in our series? What it all came down too by this years rules was dont expect to bring a knife to a gun fight as was well put by Jay Ablaza #470... ![]() Same B.S. in the Modified class as well thats a 88cc Only Class do you honestly think everyone ran 88cc motors Start looking at the Tallent instead of pointing the finger... I respect all the guys I raced with the Bench racing was just that Hype talk....and it sure brought everyone out this year (42 riders +) Poorboy Class and the Cycles round we had 3 Qualifiers!!! thats more riders than some series get for a total turnout Limited class had (72+ riders) this season one of the largest classes and for the kid that thinks a chinese CRf50 shouldn't be allowed...My 50 brand new cost me $400.00 shipped and a New Honda CRf50 @ Bettncourt cost me $1100.00 out the door.....Sh!t Man I can get (2) China Boys for the cost of 1 Honda and have $300.00 left over for Booze and some lap dances @ Zacharys ![]() |

lets keep it real Limited Class as a Clutch less class...and so what do you do with the stock 110's with a clutch, Pipe and suspension.? that would meen that everyone would have to have a bone stock KLX 110 after they have already spent money for slight to moderate upgrades and sold off all the stock stuff... with the economy the way its going to be for years to come...that would suck anyone ever think that having too many rules would take the fun out of Pit Bike racing and Kill the series 50% of the MoM riders dont even come on Planet Minis or any other MoM promoted websites....what would they have to say???

| Re: poor boy/stockers in our series? this thread has gotten so far off topic it's ridiculous haha. it's alright tho i sorta figured it would.yes too many rules would kill it, the rules i came up with were just a suggestion of what me and some buddies agree on as a definition of a "stocker" for poor boy so we dont end up having to run bone stock bikes with bars and a seat. i figured i would throw some rules together in a formal list like that so we could present them to dave from the riders point of view for next season. that was the original goal with agree/disagree |

| Re: poor boy/stockers in our series? isn't that half the fun bringing a knife to a gun fight??? HAHAH. I like what Garret started with "730" those are the rules and if people don't follow them they dont follow them. If they have to cheat to win i say let them, For some reason if they think winning the poor boy class with a cheater bike is the best thing in the world i mean come on, i would feel like a doosh winning that class on a cheater bike. |

| Re: poor boy/stockers in our series? Bottom line Oldschool you rode a cheater bike and so did your buddy.Don't prop yourself up to be a better rider when you clearly find the need to flat out cheat.I watched the races and I saw the difference between all the bikes..You seem to think that in some way that if it was not for you there would be no pitbike racing in the northeast.Suggestion maybe its you who should stop running your mouth and get on a real stocker and show everyone how its done. clown |

| Re: poor boy/stockers in our series? what about the people on 110's they should have a stock class all cosmetics allowed, exhaust sytems, minor port and a carb thats it and no clutch and like an up to 88 class for the fifties lk relly an 88 kit doesnt cost that much so same applies all cosmetic stuff and up to 88 no clutch |

| Re: poor boy/stockers in our series? Oldschool...If he didn't have his wife and kids with him yea,I would have said something.Just didnt seem like the right time. I think you should be ashamed of yourself.Because you know how you did it.But don't fret I am sure you will see us both next year and maybe this time you will have some class and ride a 50cc bike with a 50cc head unported and unmolested in your laboratory.Just a thought. |

then oldschool its not a stock class and thats what we are all talking about here,,prehaps the rules should be looked at for 2009 cause the pitbike series has gottin alot bigger from 5 years ago,,, ,,,,,,,,us people here are talking about tryin to get a stock class in 2009 for the 50cc and 110cc ,,cause people like us are tryin to have a good time without sending lots of$$$$$$ and we are just looking to make it were the bikes are competitive and the riders talent will stand out ,,,and for all the people that have the stuff done to there bikes already there will still be a limited or modified classes i dont know why this is so hard for some people to understand, cause by doing this it will open new doors for more new people (woman and men) to come out an join the pitbike series so it will stay alive ,and face it the more people that show up the more money it will bring in

the thing is this is pit bike racing not big bike with rules and if anyone have an issue with the way things are now take it up with the #1 man Organizer/Promoter: Dave Olcott also take in mind we all signed the no whining clause in the registration forms us people here..? what the hell does that mean? Who do you think I am..? "we are just looking to make it were the bikes are competitive and the riders talent will stand out ,,,and for all the people that have the stuff done to there bikes already there will still be a limited or modified classes " thats how it is now.... You think this series is about the money.... hahahahaha What money??? Last edited by OLDSCHOOL; 11-11-2008 at 05:14 PM.
