| Re: bike failure at rockyhill Lets drop the science discussion and get back to the topic. I had that problem at Rocky Hill and have been trying to figure out a solution ever since. First I tried jetting the carb and had no luck. I replaced the coil and plug wire, dried and ELECTRICAL taped all the wires up, put in a new plug, cleaned the IRK in my bike(it was a bit rusty in there) and it seems to be ok. I rode it last night and it did fine but it was also fairly dry out. I did hit a few puddles and it seems ok. I will make sure I try it in the rain to see if it is truly fixed. Keep ya posted. |

Hahahahaha sorry but to me a Dealership Certification is as good as all the open book tests and the M.B. Satellite Computer that tells you where to put the wrench and how to fix it .. but dont feel bad as I know they make you go to school to change the oil.... Impress me with a ASE certified Master Technition Certificate or college degree at a technical institute in Electrical Engineering Oral...we can talk about this futher @ Crow Hill Last edited by OLDSCHOOL; 10-03-2008 at 07:45 AM.

Dont feel bad that all your sorry overweight ass can do is drive a train around. But dont worry i'm sure your degree in science from 1964 will be more than enough for you to work on can networks or fiberoptic communication rings. A new S550 has more technology in it than was on the planet when you were in school.

| Re: bike failure at rockyhill And now back to your scheduled program !!! ![]() zach !!! That video .... swopes .., try this little test . It always works for me when people complain that their cars run crappy when it's wet out ... Run the bike in neutral and take a spray bottle of water , spray a good amount of water on small sections of the electrical system from one end to the other . I usually start at the spark plug . You should be able to pinpoint the problem this way ? I reccomend using die electric grease in all of your wire conncetors of the entire system . This will help to keep the water out and corrosion from forming . |

| Re: bike failure at rockyhill try an experiment, expose a 115v circuit in your home, a lamp cord for example, take the hot and neutral legs and cover them in duct tape, plug in the cord and touch both legs try testing the continuity instead of resistance when you get shocked who will be the Dumb@$$ |
