| Re: 2008 MoM Final Round: Cycles 128 (Street-Motard) to keep the confusion down and information current i have moved a few of my last posts to this thread and I'll just post on this one from now on. so heres a few photos.hill is perfect.and a box stock 50 has no problem getting up it. you can see the jump-right between the logs on either side of the hillside-its just big enough to launch you over the top and not send you straight up.the style monkeys will have a blast on it. will be a great spot for photos!! | Re: 2008 MoM Final Round: Cycles 128 (Street-Motard) Small tip, find some air filter foam, and stuff it in your catch bottle. It keeps things from sloshing, and if for some reason you manage to break it open the contents won't dump all at once, you'll have a chance to pull off with minimal spillage.

just about every supermoto track Should requires some kind of supermoto fluid catch can to be mounted to the bike when out on the track. If the track doesn’t, it really should. Your off-road bike has fluid run-off and overflow tubes that run out and drip from the bike. In the dirt, there’s not much of a hazard concern. On supermoto pavement that fluid can cause a crash and/or a fire and we’ve seen more than one crash and fireball caused by no or improper installation of a fluid catch device on the track. Little can ruin your race day more than having your bike or you catch on fire. Carburetor Catch Can ![]() Notice in this picture the Case Vent is run from the case to a Plastic bottle (under the seat) with a vent in the bottle and pieces of foam filter installed to keep any slosh to a minumal ![]() Notice how it easily mounts to the skid plate these are made with vent Hose, small plastic hair color bottle and a couple of Zip Ties Head & Case Breather Catch Can Heres one that Classic honda offers and it mounts under the seat or to the rear of your frame...It can be simulated with a small Plastic bottle and Vent hoses that connect to the Crankcase Vent, Head vent, Oil fill cap. If you crash and the bike is still running it will "catch" any Oil that pumps out of the bike in the "Catch can" instead of on the track. ![]() Last edited by OLDSCHOOL; 10-23-2008 at 02:48 PM. | |

| Re: 2008 MoM Final Round: Cycles 128 (Street-Motard) ive talked to a few people and all of them agreed with me so far... ( i guess its up to cycles) but what would everyone think about putting in like a double and a dirt turn into the configuration, if i remember rite there was a straight out of the warehouse/start that a double would fit in, and the big sweeper into tight right in turn 1 and 2 would be sick for a dirt corner. idk cycles was my least favirote track last year ( nothing againced the guys at 128 they did a awesome job and the track was cool) im just not really about the pavement, and that i think would put a little color into the race. Pretty Please! |

| Re: 2008 MoM Final Round: Cycles 128 (Street-Motard) you should run 2 catch bottles-one for carb vent tubes and one for crank breather-the reason is because of the crank vent psi pulsing into the same bottle as the carbs it may/will pressurize the float bowl vents causing your bike to run rich.thats why in oldschools photos he points out two bottles. |
