The air fuel mixture screw is on the front bottom of the carb on a CRF230. The only screw adjustment on the side of the carb is idle. You can get to the fuel mixture screw with a paper clip, but for ease I would suggest getting a fuel screw w/ a finger adjustment from msr or you will need to take the carb off to adjust it. Also if you want to fix it better and have it start/ warm up quicker you can get the "power up" kit for it. Check over at thumpertalk for the parts numbers, but you get a needle, jets and you take out the airbox restriction and baffle.
