Also how hard is it to install cable and will it be vunerable? My recommendation would be to use a hidden cam setup with nightvision(IR illuminators) and a DVR that has an internet connection. There are some DVRs that will email you a snapshot when the motion is activated. This is good incase they find the DVR and take it, you would already have the pic for evidence. I don't know if you'll be able to stay under $500, but maybe you can get some of the guy's who got ripped off to pitch in on the DVR and buy there own cam's. There is a company in Reno called Scottland Yard http://www.thespyshop.com/catalog/index.php They should be able to hook you up with all you need. Be careful if you go the razor blade route. Don't give the a$$holes any reason to sue you. | |

| Re: Surveillance cameras???? Their website site looks a bit sketchy? X10.com - Security Cameras, X10 Home Security, Wireless Camera, Home Automation, Electronics and More! I walked off somewhere between 150 - 175 feet from my garage to my apartment. The only thing that is making me wonder is - I live on the opposite side of the building. Meaning, I face to the East and my garage is on the West side of the building. Would that be a problem with the signal? |

| Re: Surveillance cameras???? yes you can use current DVr... No... X10 is not the best but it works.... It can send email snapshots like mentioned... Range is a major issue with wireless x10 cameras... Consider combining in other security... X10 is totally legit... I use their other security for my house and business.. |
