Re: OGM...too much to ask to be able to ride it?

CJsDad is right. If your jetting is not spot on with an Inner Rotor it will run horrible. And I'm not taking sides but OGM can not tune every bike for every location, There is just too many variables, type of fuel, elevation, humidity, air filter, etc. And a dealer should be responsible for delivering a bike that runs good, that why there are dealer margins and mark ups.

I understand jetting a carb can be tough but if done step by step its actually not to hard. Check your plug to figure whether rich or lean and start going from there. My YZ 450 runs lean and Yamaha doesn't really give a F***. Just the fact that OGM or any other manufacturer is willing to work with you directly to get you rolling with new carbs and jets says alot.

Good luck with your bike, if you need some help you can PM me and I can do my best to help as well (I'm no pro but I have experience with both Mikunis and Molkt).

Buy from a dealer that has a shop, don't buy from a online place so you can get it cheaper.
You get a cheaper price but there is only so much somebody can do over the phone.

You should have bought my bike. It ran like a raped ape.

Just kidding! Good luck with your bike, they can be frustrating. I don't really miss mine yet.

Re: OGM...too much to ask to be able to ride it?

Correction Alex....first you sent me one dirty, well used carb with jetting way lean and give me a mouthful on how you didn't send a used one, it was brand new and you were the one that packed it. Well as soon as I sent you pics(after you got mad at me for prooving you wrong and you turned me over to your secretary) you sent me another "new " carb. Any clue where my billet shifter is? Dave

Re: OGM...too much to ask to be able to ride it?

My ogm motor came with an inner rotor. And it was advanced all the way. Put it just under 0 degrees. Just so you know, take off the left side cover (chain side) and that little bar with two screws that needs to be changed.

unfortunelty thats how alot of dealers are. i know someone who bought cars from two different dealers and they both stffed him. just liv and learn. dont buy from them again and dont buy a sketchy brand china bike. if youre gonna go china get a pitster or SSR

Re: OGM...too much to ask to be able to ride it?

Quit covering up your mistake. This is the first pitbike I have owned. First parts and everything. Why would I ever have a dirty OGM, warn out OGM Mikuni VM26 carb sitting in my garage.....stand up if you made a mistake. I paid good money for this bike to have used warranty parts sent to me. I guess it's what I get when I buy a China POS.....wish I had bought from Motovert, atleast the customer service is supposed to be good. I forgot that I have to go to the Motorcycle Mechanics Institute before I buy an OGM.....duh, I should have known.

Re: OGM...too much to ask to be able to ride it?

The OGM is the same bike as the Pitster....I guess it shows though in the lack of knowledge on the customer support end. Seems the OGM guy sells tons of China stuff.....not just pitbikes.....wish I'd researched it more. Just sucks feeling like you've been used and left out to dry after buying a $2000 bike. $2000 may be cheap for a pitbike but it's in no way a small chunk of change. All I got was some replacement parts thrown at me, no real knowledge of the bikes.......OLDSCHOOL and THECRKID have been the ones who have really jumped out to help me....and I appreciate it.....jus sux cause they aren't the ones that sold me the bike. I am getting some replies from the dealer now that I have started this thread though. Dave

Re: OGM...too much to ask to be able to ride it?

This is how low you will go Alex....WTF did you do to this NEW carb then? swap the jets, run gas through it, have your dog chew on the choke know and throw it in a puddle of mud behind the OGM warehouse before you shipped it? Oh, and booger up the screw heads? 100% BS on your end. Apparently someone, somewhere at OGM has used carbs and sent one to me....it's still in the box you sent me, it has your name on it, you still have the pics I sent you of it and that tells me that YOU sent me the used carb....does this look like a new carb to anyone on here? The swelled up and dirty vent lines, dirt on top of the bowl/seat area? Dave

Re: OGM...too much to ask to be able to ride it?

I appreciate the offer but I'm already $2000 in the hole(more after plastics and what not actually). Shipping isn't cheap and I don't feel I should have to pay to get a NEW bike running. What good is a new bike to anyone if it doesn't run? I'd like to see Kawi get away with selling a $2000 bike that runs this poorly. I'm in a bitchin mood today too by the way.....but once again PAX....I appreciate the offer but I don't want to spend more and more money to get a NEW bike to run. Dave

Oh, so the pics of the dirty used carb that you sent me wasn't the one that you sent me and you just sent me another new carb because you wanted me to have 2? Good call. ......Homey don't play that.

Re: OGM...too much to ask to be able to ride it?

Do you actually have a tech support/mechanic who can really troubleshoot my problems over the phone? Or do you just sell bikes? Dave
