it made all of my lips super hard packed. the key is ALOT of water.

also you have to make sure your lips are at least twice as wide as the tractor your rolling them with otherwise you wont be able to pack down the middle of the lip.

Thanks for the tips...

I'll probably get the 400lb grass roller to help with regular maintanance... It probably won't compact a ton but should help (not to mention it will replace any need for a gym membership)... I'll add that to the landscape rake and ride-on mower i'm already using...

Maybe I'll still get something more heavy duty to pack everything in real good the first time if I can get a good price on a rental...

It's supposed to rain the next couple days... I've been watering a ton but it could use more... We even ran extra 2.5" water lines to the middle of the track and the other end of the yard which will make things easier... dragging fire hose is hard work...

On a side note... threw in some sod in front of the house while I had the skid steer...

Re: My new track

Thought I'd throw up a panorama photo of my track as it is now...
I'll get some other angles soon... Kinda makes everything look small... I took the photos from 20 feet up on a hunting ladder...

I'll ride it this way for awhile and probably add more features and difficulty before long... More details to come...

Should be riding sunday...

Re: My new track

i made a pitbike track in this lot my friend owns i would not suggest whoops they get destroied and are a lot of work to maintain... i would suggest a nice rythem section me and my friend put in a single table tripple so u could either roll table tripple or jump onto the table land on the face of the tripple and double out lot of different line choices
looks good tho

Re: My new track

Seems like I mostly get and post video when I shouldn't even be on a bike... but oh well... if it makes others laugh cool...

I have some plans to improve the track a lot...

sandy and tight is a pretty good description unfortunately... working with what I have...
Everything is packing in just taking a ton of water and time... I don't have access to much clay but that would be nice...
It's freshly built and just needs some rain and more breaking in I hope...

Re: My new track

I'm testing my new toys... my bike, my track, and the newest toy... canon hv30...

The only thing that sucks is having one battery... It only lasted the first few laps while I was cruisin'... This is only a test anyway... I put 10 minutes into the editing...

Oh well... I should have something a little better next week...

Try to watch this in HD if you can... I hope this works...

Track is coming together... will continue to improve...

Re: My new track

I am thinking about taking my track to the next level in awhile... and I need help with the design...

I like the layout and the way it flows but I am planning on adding more features/obstacles... I plan on making all the lanes/jumps/obstacles wider and the burms will go bigger as well...

I am attaching a copy of the layout in the hopes that some of you want to design a course... Please take into consideration the size I am working with and put together a design that you think would be best...

The layout needs to stay pretty much the same due to trees and stuff so please just put in the obstacles...

See this link for a quick video of me cruising the course: first hd movie on Vimeo
See post #46 for photos of the course...
Any other info you need should be in this thread or feel free to ask questions...

Thanks in advance,
JT

Re: My new track

you need to make the lanes tighter together, you would be able to fit more, and it looks clean haha

The lanes will be made wider so they are as close together as possible but there are trees between lanes too...
