Re: kx65 with a yz250 motor 2007 gsxr 750 shock ($20) will go in the rear easy bunch of them on ebay. Had to lose the airbox to fit the resevoir Works good too. minibikesprings.com for front fork springs. Im 210lbs and I ride the 65 engine stock. SDG tall seat (the one for the klx110 fits perfect) $39. Rocking minibike for me. It is pretty powerful enough for me. Klx110 plastics are the same. Its alot of fun.

Re: kx65 with a yz250 motor Top you just have to grind a little of the threaded part out of the way, as the top of the shock is a little wider. Bottom add washers to the areas pictured to get it to line up and fit. And get longer bolts for the 2 bolts that old the linkages. The stock gsxr bolts work for the tob and bottom, and are the right size. ![]()

Re: kx65 with a yz250 motor if you have ridden a 65 you will know that they will wheelie in a heartbeat in 2nd, 3rd, 4th. I think a 65 with a 65 in it would be far more fun, and fast than a 250F to throw everything off.

Re: kx65 with a yz250 motor Funny y'all brought up this project. I was thinking about a KX65/KX100 motor project myself. Probably will do a KX65-- but just do an 85cc Lukes big bore. I say go for a 125 or 100 motor, or it will be ridiculous. ---L*64

Re: kx65 with a yz250 motor So you are going to do a completely custom frame? Not slapping two frames together I hope.

Re: kx65 with a yz250 motor it doesn't really matter how fast he is on the track with it or any of that it is the novelty of having a pitbike with a 250 in it don't forget about a bajillion rim locks

C'mon you guys.... nothing is going to even come close to bolting up at all whatsoever. I would look into Dons' 85 chassis. DMC did a CR80/125 conversion awhile back. A while ago, I was thinking about a KX65/XR100 conversion. That would be a really cool bike. ---L*64 |
