From the NSF owners manual:

Primary reduction : 4.437 (16/71T)

Gear ratio (STD)
1st - 3.083 (12/37T)
2nd - 1.882 (17/32T)
3rd - 1.400 (20/28T)
4th - 1.130 (23/26T)
5th - 0.923 (26/24T)

Final reduction 1.866 (15/28T)

Shift pattern : 1-N-2-3-4-5 (1up , 4down)

Re: NSF100 motor complete

I digress. I'd still take a 1 year old motor for $600 over a worn out lump. Need to be quicker on the email the next time..

Re: NSF100 motor complete

Recieved the motor today and it looks to be in great condition(from the outside atleast, hehe ).
Guy was even nice enough to include the carb, wire harness, CDI, airbox and full exhaust. Great seller in my book. Even padded the contents of the package with a small quilted blanket. I just hope theres not a cold baby sitting somewhere right now because of me!

thanks again!

Re: NSF100 motor complete

Bore and stroke are the same between the CRF and NSF but the piston, cam, valve springs and intake are different.
The NSF100 is a purpose built machine for the roadrace track. CRF for trails.

I'm sure you will make good use of the motor, Glad to here you received it OK. My baby girl did look at me funny when I took her blanket to pad the engine. LOL! I'm not to far from being done with my conversion , can't wait to ride it!
