| Re: My YSR 200 4 Stroke build! that was awesome! i have a question about your vapor speed/tach, will that also be able to be hooked up to a stock ysr? i need to do a speedo to make my bike street legal again, and that is actually a really good price, so thought i would ask. and hopefully it will also work on the motor i plan on swapping in next year. |

| Re: My YSR 200 4 Stroke build! you would have to run it on just the internal bat it comes with, i think it runs on 8.8v or higher. ysr is a 6v. might run through a bunch a bat. If you get one just get it for an air cooled motor. |

| Re: My YSR 200 4 Stroke build! any idea on top speeds for the three bikes? what motors & trannies are the zb's? are any of these bikes registered? what speedo is that 1trikzb? cable speedo right? i would think you could convert the ysr 6v to 12v fairly easily, or you could do something like the aircooled vw guys do and run two 6v batteries so you can use 6v and/or 12v accessories. | Re: My YSR 200 4 Stroke build! Theres no kit to make a ysr 12v. TCR said they would sell tons of some on did make a 12v stator. As far as to bats? No idea. You can do a total loss system, but that a whole other project. They are all regestered. Top speed for 1trick 75MPH Chriswiler 70MPH (with SL70 tranny) Mine well.... 80 so far, i think if i had enough room 90-100MPH How lond did what take klx 110 master? |

| Re: My YSR 200 4 Stroke build! defboy35: It will be a bit of trial and error. I would try the vapor on the stock 6v ac output. It says on the accessories page the vapor runs on 6-400V AC or DC. If that doesn't work I would try converting the stock stator to 12v. If neither idea works you will need to make some sort of power supply because AC fries batteries. You could just run the two batteries in series with the negative that is free grounded out to the frame, and the positive that is free connected to the vapor. Then you can either hook up the 6v DC positive from the generator to the bridge between the two batteries OR try to isolate the two batteries so they both charge without becoming a short. If you weren't worried about electromagnetic interference you could just run a 12v 1:2 step up transformer; This would be about the worst idea possible for a bike or car. Another idea would be to get a solid state 12V Converter, I found one that still uses an inductuctor but will produce far less interference than a transformer. Click here for the schematic of the 12v converter. This one only supports 0.8A so it will work for your Vapor I think that is most of your options.
