Re: My YSR 200 4 Stroke build!

when will the videos be up? not sure if you checked your mail, but payment is sent for the zb swing arm, bars, and bar clamps. if you want to throw in the headlight bracket for free it would be cool. ahahah. let me know if you get that stuff out today. i just started her up for the first time, can't wait to break this motor in. im thinking about making a build thread like this for my bike. if i do i'll link you up.

Re: My YSR 200 4 Stroke build!

Some more goodies today. Got a trail tech Vapor gauge. Very nice for the price. Everything works really well. Has a tach, speedo, temp, top speed, odometer, ect.... I like it!

Re: My YSR 200 4 Stroke build!

thats my next buy right there. i wanted a cluster with a (cable) digital speedo and analog tach like the takegawa, but km/h wont do much good for my street riding so i am going with the vapor aswell. looks sick on your bike. did you put the magnets on the rotor or wheel? where did you put the temp sensor?

Sweeeeeeeeeeeet. Is the odometer just a trip gauge or does it hold lifetime mileage too?

Re: My YSR 200 4 Stroke build!

It runs off a speed sensor. I ran the magnet throught the rotor. The Vapors are all the same, (the computers.) I got one for a xr200. Its pretty accurate. Also has 2 shift lights. dose ALOT for the price! Im very happy with the buy. The Xr200 runs off the stator for power and thats how i power it. it comes with an internal bat as well. was a little work but well worth it. TRAILTECH.NET has all the specs and they have a few other computers aswell. But i would opp for the vapor (only one with tach).

Re: My YSR 200 4 Stroke build!

ahaha this is like 20 questions. you would need a lighting coil to run a vapor on a 50 right?

Looks good on there Shawn. I have a full dance card this weekend, but I maybe able to swing by late afternoon Saturday with the camera. I'll call you.

I'm still not riding it until you put a seat on it. This old fart needs some padding.

peace,
bobbyV

Re: My YSR 200 4 Stroke build!

Im using a ZX10 (05) master, feels pretty good (not too over kill) could bleed the brakes 1 more time though.

Sporckets are 17t and 41t, works GREAT, tons of power all the time and the bike is still pulling at 80mph.

You dont have to have a lighting coil. it has an internal bat, but the back light wont stay on if it doesnt have a power source. The Vapor works GREAT so far!

Bobby V needs to help me do some video so you guys can see this beast in action!

Thanks for all the positive posts!

Re: My YSR 200 4 Stroke build!

An old CB100 inner rotor setup should bolt right in, have a lighting coil, and might even have a little less rotating mass.
