Re: My YSR 200 4 Stroke build! I could paint it, just dont have a booth/area to barrow. I have a friend who will do it for me. Im excited to have this thing on the road! Its been quite a journey, i see the light at the end of the tunnel. The build has been really fun, just getting tired of making EVERYTHING fit... Just want to bolt on parts now.... ~Shawn Last edited by shawnbassett26; 06-02-2008 at 09:04 PM.

Re: My YSR 200 4 Stroke build! Its looking great. After you get the swingarm there will only be the frame that is stock... oh wait and the kickstand... unless you plan to make one out of aluminum Keep up the great work you have inspired me!

Re: My YSR 200 4 Stroke build! Actually the kickstand is from a 600rr (cut and rewelded). Swingarm is from a NSR50. So..... the only think "stock" is the lower tripple, tank. I guess the frame isnt stock, welded alot on it so i wouldnt consider it stock.

Re: My YSR 200 4 Stroke build! so black tank w/ blue and silver farings? how comfortable is it with the rear faring pushed up that close to the tank? it looks like it would be all up on your nuts.

Re: My YSR 200 4 Stroke build! I painted it black just to paint it. It will be blue/silver also. Actually its not so bad. The wind screen is the worst part, ill cut it down 2in and i think ill be in the clear. All in all its comming out better than i thought. Its a nice ride. ~Shawn

Re: My YSR 200 4 Stroke build! Dude that just proves what I have always said, you can make about any body fit if you are willing to make the effort!! Good job shawn, dont cut the windscreen down to low until you put your helmet on and try to tuck in behind it! This makes a huge difference when you are going for top speed on a small bike! Looks great cant wait to see the paint, I would go MotoGP replica look!

Re: My YSR 200 4 Stroke build! I cut the windscreen down 2in, its perfect. I took on the interstate to about 90 last night and worked out great! i was worried that if i were to cut it down 2in it would look silly, but in fact it looks better (more to scale). I couldnt tuck before because my helmet would hit the windscreen but now i can. No motogp rep for me. I dont want to anything that has been done before. Im sure a rep paint job would be sick, just want to do my own thing. No example on paint. I was going to do all black, but wheres the fun in that? You will just have to wait and seen......... ~Shawn
