You should extend that swing arm like 2 inches! Looks great, cant wait to see it with the tail on it!

Re: My YSR 200 4 Stroke build!

I have the G-Craft swing arm on my NSR, I modified it and it is now about 1/2" to 3/8" longer. The thing I found on the track is the bikes have a tendency to over steer a bit so the extended swing arm would help out plus give you better stability in a straight line. With a bigger motor I sure it has a tendancey to want to wheelie alot and that would help put the power to the ground. 5"s sounds like a lot but from the looks of the NSR swing arm on the YSR frame it would probably be just about right!

Re: My YSR 200 4 Stroke build!

I actuall was thinking about going with a 1-2in over g-craft swinger eventually. Probally in the future. One step at a time. after the body is done painting/fitting im going to get a nice rear shock, prob a swingarm then big boar.

Put head lights, turnsignals horn etc on it and get it inspected! I have seen guys get the smaller chinese midbikes registered in CA!

And we miss the Bri at The Nation but listen to him he knows his stuff. It takes a little tinkering but you can get just about any bike on the road if you know what to do. Every state has loopholes and lazy people at the DMV you just have to do it right and stay out of trouble once you get it tagged. If you don't

Re: My YSR 200 4 Stroke build!

This is before i destroied the body.... just set it on the bike for fun. you can see how much i had to hack off the upper and lower to get to look good. No im not using the tail section.

Heres the other side.

Notice the air duct, kinda cool. ill get better pics later. theres were last minute at night. BTW im leaving the tape...... jk...

Heres my shifter, i have a real one now. before i had the xr200 shifter cut down going the wrong way. Now i have the right vortex lever with a linkage!

Re: My YSR 200 4 Stroke build!

sick. getter done. i would just make a tail from scratch, then add a real seat instead of a butt pad. Just design it with cardboard, put down some sort of releasing agent, then lay some fiberglass. don't use much resin or it will make it brittle, but you should be able to knock it out in a couple days and get the exact shape you want.

Re: My YSR 200 4 Stroke build!

ahah. are you still waiting on the tail? if i was down in the dirty south i would help you out and make you one in a day. If my xr100 doesn't sell I am going to make full race fairings for it so it looks like a rr.

Just a selfish thought. If you're going to make fairings are you going to start a thread to show the masses how it's done and the final product? In the end we may not have the skills but the journey is always a hell of a ride

Re: My YSR 200 4 Stroke build!

Yea man, I will try to make a thread of how to do quick one off fiberglass parts. I actually use balsa wood for prototype instead of cardboard. I am hoping the XR100 sells tho. 1TrikZB's tail is custom isn't it? don't you have some metal fab skills?

Im running the NSF100 tail. But i would like to hack up/glass the rs125 tail just for the hell of it with bobby v to see if we can come up with something. I just set the RS tail on the bike for fun.
