I love the rear View Camera Idea. I was actually thinking of getting a Garmin GPS unit that had a camera integrated as well.... Let me know how it works while riding when you get it up and running. I was worried about road vibration shaking the picture into a blur...

I was going to get the same thing cause i wanted GPS but its too expensive. The camera is great. Hooked it up in 20 minutes and no shaking or vibration problems. Realy great, I can even see my blind spot. I was worreid it would suck too much power but so far so good.

Sweeeeet That means I will *have* to spend a little extra for the better model GPS maybe I wont have to run mirrors at all!

to keep it legal i have small ones, you can even run one on the handle bar to keep the cops happy, but the rear view is all I need, like I said the bike is so short that i can see my blind spots... Still shoulder check but its a great system

Re: Almost done my RCV-mini body mod

Be careful when you mount the GPS/camera. We mounted an LCD bicycle speedo on my brother's 63cc NSR with IRK. Needless to say, the 11,000+ RPM at the track killed it after a few sessions. Probably shook up the LCDs or something. You want to be aware of isolating the vibrations etc. That's the same reason why the race organizations have us safety wire every fluid retaining bolt. The vibrations of a 2 stroke loosen bolts. You wouldn't want to screw up an expensive GPS.

Good point. You could always shock mounting on a peace of foam or rubber, I might take a look at it and do something like that too, even a small bit might help

Ahh yes, the Big blue california blue book or DMV regulations states that a vehicle must have "a mirror" no mention on the size. Dentist mirrors anyone?

I am using very small retangular curved mirrors on at the top of corner of my faring where the windsreen meets the fiberglass. Its perfect for quick look at blind spots and they don't look as dorky as the round mirrors, nothing drilled through the faring. Sweet deal. combined with the rear view camera I have BETTER views then I would with the regular mirrors I had before
