You ask good questions.

If we need to tweek the classes so be it. I've had one day to put this together and get a practice and race dates out, plus write a rulebook all so we can start next week. I had to put something out there, if you have a change in mind document it and send it to me at evilempireracing@comcast.net

For The primary rule on all bikes is that 12 inch rear wheel maximum. The pocketbike and scooter class which are limited to 50cc two stroke. The other classes are limited to horizontal engines of less than 150cc.

I realize that most folks don't have showroom bikes but the first time we showed up at a track thats what we had. We had fun but got our butts blown by. We need an entry point class. If no one shows for it we don't run it.

Last year we didn't have enough people, so if we get more folks great and we can combine like classes to keep the time down. How many times last year was it just 2 or 3 bikes out there for a race. So maybe pocketbikes and scooters run together and we score the two classes.

Here are the rider and motocycle requirements
Rider Requirements

• Full face helmet – Dirt or Street style in good condition
• Eye protection – Goggles, glasses or shield
• Boots – Leather or Cordura over the ankle minimum
• Gloves – Full fingered with no holes
• Riding suit – Leather, Cordura or MX gear with hard shell knee, shoulder and elbow protection (Complete coverage with no exposed skin or undergarments)
• Back protector - Recommended

General Bike Requirements

All bikes must meet these minimum requirements.

General
• Front number plate
• Bodywork securely attached. If any bodywork is removed, all bracing and fairing stays must be removed from the exposed area.
• Street items like headlights, taillights, turn signals and reflectors removed or taped over
Controls
• Self-closing throttle.
• Functioning engine kill switch.
• Bar end plugs or grips on both handlebars.
• Clutch and brake levers with ball ends.
• Rear brake lever in free working order.
• Shift lever secure.
• Front and rear brakes function properly.
• Footrests rounded on end (no sharp edge).
Chassis
• Maximum 12 inch rear tire.
• Wheel rims and tires in good condition.
• Forks and shock leak-free and in good condition.
• Exhaust pipe securely mounted.
Engine
• 4 Stroke horizontal engines of under 150cc only except Pocketbikes and Scooters which are limited to 50cc two stroke
• No leaking fluids.
• Oil drain and filler plugs secured.
• Air cleaner and exhaust of appropriate design required.
• Unleaded pump gas only (no additives)

We'll make sure everyone gets track time.
