Re: street tires stock rim

the only tire i have seen problems with are the 90/90-10. had to add link to chain and run axle all the way back to keep tire from rubbing swinger, front tire rubs a little on fork boot. but they do work

That's exactly what I run and they work just fine and can handle a lot of abuse.

plugs in a tubed tire? Or do you run tubeless??

I run the IRC's also, or anything I get for free out of the trash at my local dealers!

Haven't bought a tire for my 50 in over 2 years, I usually find 1 or 2 tires every couple months behind my yamaha dealer lol

I run tubeless. A lot easier to just plug a hole than take the tire off and patch the tube.

I've tried it before, after you jump a few curbs your rims naturally cause you to bust o's , tires are overrated anyways

No sh*t?? And what size tires did you use that rubbed? I run sl26s too...who cares what most houston riders use. I was referring that you can use anything from the 2.75s up to 3.50 kenda which use to be on my bike.

Re: street tires stock rim

Im runnin 3.00 on my sdg, but have found that they do not fit well. I dont know if I missed something in tire changing 101 but. It doesnt seat all the way around. Havent checkd the rim width yet but it makes the wheel wobble. which sux for stoppies. I know the tube is 2.75, but ive almost busted the tube to get the tire to seat and nothing. ive been rockin the wobbles for 5 mo. now!! what to do???

Re: street tires stock rim

I've seen a 3.5 on the rear of a 50 in kansas city, it HAD to have the chain adjusters ALL the way back, and it still was only about 1/4" from rubbing..

if his chain wasen't long enough to run the adjusters fully tight, then it woudln't have fit
