Research "Balance Point". If you're revving out you haven't found it.

I highly suggest a blue powerband, or maybe a pink one.

Its all about the low rmp slow wheelies man. Just gotta keep at it, I'm rusty as crap right now cause I've been working too much to ride, so my wheelies are lacking for sure. I go about 1/4 mile and have to set it back down.

If your RPMs are going up while you're wheeling then you're chasing it. If you bring it back past balance point you can use the rear brake to slow you down.

Re: cant wheelie

balance point is balance point....learn balance point and you can wheelie any gear.if youre learning when it comes up lean forward and tap(not stomp)the rear brake.if youre reving out youre not at balance point anymore.

work on getting the wheel off the ground before you worry about a 12bar..... lol

pull back and gas it....if you fall on your ass......you went too far.

try again.

pow pow pow... your still power douche'n it... grow some balls and go a lil further...j/k, a lil...dont be afraid to eat ****... at BP you wont go no faster no slower hence Balance Point. learn some rear brake control and dont be choppy on the throttle. best way is try pushin it past 12 in 1st and using the brake to save your a55. you'll realize how much more you can go back. seat time nooga!!!!!!! deez bikes practically wheelie demselves..

ive heard that mod can cause your brake pads to literally break. Never tried it myself though. Just ditched the crappy oem pads for some EBC ones.

Re: cant wheelie

I never had any luck with the brake pad mod. I've had 3 different sets and here's my opinion:

Stock pads were decent.

Kitaco pads were great at first, but they glazed over real quick and eventually broke inside my hub.

EBC's have been good to me for a good couple months, no complaints yet.

Re: cant wheelie

original pads on the z50 i gots. did the mod. way better... done the mod a few times on crf's and z's. you have to be careful not to go all the way through the hardened part your grinding down. if it gets too thin it will let go and break the pads. takes a fine touch and has to be even. throw some 3m brake lube on the part that contacts the cam... but i can lock up my rear with my ghetto as all hell rigged handbrake now. worked 4 me................................

kitaco pads are butta... good deal...
