would 20w oil slow the rebound too much, or would it still ride fine with it?

Can anybody give me a definite measurement of these forks? meaning top tube diameter. Found seals for them and it says there interchangeable with kx60 seals so im hoping there 30mm. anyone?

I just used a ruler to measure straight across the top of the fork tube- 27mm at the widest part or the circle. mine are atleast, I don't know about the forks fom different years.

I guess I won't waste space and start a new thread, so I'll ask in my own thread.

I just got some spacers from this random plastic shop in my area. I didn't think I'd be able to find pvc small enough to fit the forks, so I got some spacers made out of this plastic stuff, apparently the strongest plastic around. I think it's name starts with a d or something...
anyways, they're just solid cylinders of the this plastic, in the right size. Does it matter at all that they aren't hollow like pvc? How much oil should I put in the forks with one inch spacers in 'em?

btw, the guy made em for me in 1", 1.5", and 2" sets... I'll see which one works best for me.

try the 1.5 and drill your own hole in it.

sure. will a hole in it just make sure that oil can get past them?

should I still fill the fully compressed forks up with oil, three inches from the top like bluebrapper14 said?

I'm kind curious to know what forks those are because they aren't CR60. CR60 forks are 30mm, and those are 27mm. Maybe they are XR80? I think somebody got their story mixed up somewhere. The CR60 was made for three years, and I really doubt that they had 2 different sized forks in the 3 year run.

after doing some research i retract my previous statement. i dont know why... but honda ran 27mm forks on the 83 model, and 30mm forks on the 84 and 85. Who'd a thunk it?

lol

anyways, I still want to know why I have to drill a whole in these spacers, and how much oil I should put in the forks...

For oil to run through. If not the forks are gonna hydro lock from the oil not being able to go all the way to the top of the leg.

No idea. Pull the springs out and compress the fork and measure how much is in there. If you want them stiffer add a little more oil.

man, weird stuff. so way back when I was asking about this stuff, here's what I did. I ran the normal fork springs, 1.5" spacers, and 15w fork oil. it was definitely better, but was still way to soft. I had some xr80 forks from the 80's lying around, and noticed they were already a lot stiffer. I pulled the springs out of those forks, and found out that they're a couple inches shorter than the stock cr60 springs. well, they were also a good amount stiffer, so I threw those in the forks, along with 3.5" worth of spacers to make up for the length difference. this actually made the forks feel great. they're a lot stiffer, ride really smoothly, and just feel better overall. but, they're still too soft. way softer than the rear ohlins shock I'm running. when the bike is just standing still on it's own, the forks compress, maybe, an inch or more. then when I sit on it, they compress another inch or two. the good thing is, though, that I can't even tell if they bottom out at all. even if I do bottom them out when landing jumps, it's not harsh and abrupt like the stock springs. I could just add even more spacers to add some preload, but this seems just rediculous to me. so, I want to find some new springs.

These cr60 forks are 27mm. what springs from what other forks could I use as replacements. would springs for 30mm forks fit? maybe springs from kx65 forks, or what ever forks all these 110's are running? what would fit?
