| I can't imagine Honda going forward if they didn't have an idea about the rules even if it takes a huge donation (wink, wink, nudge, nudge) or a couple years of pressure from racers. As far as two strokes becoming obsolete I don't think it'll happen for a long long time. |

i'm with ya man, i grew up racing the 2 strokes and on the track they can't be beat. as for easy trail riding and back yard putting, 4 stroke is good. i definetlyplan on buying a 2 stroke big bike soon. thats the benifit of all these guys thinking the 4 strokes are where it's at. the 2 strokes pop up for pretty cheap now and then.'

| My bet is that the rule will be approved. Honda has too much power not to get it approved. They had it in the bag before the bike was developed, otherwise they would not have produced the bike.

I think the FIM rule went into affect/effect this year or last year(?). The AMA has done the same thing - at least in professional competition. I'm not 100% sure about amateur racing. The other thing - Honda has always stated that they are a "Four Stroke Company" so this is just moving them towards completing that statement. Remember it was Honda that road raced 2 strokes back in the day with everyone else, and then started switching away and going towards four strokes and developing them despite getting their tails kicked for a few years. They were single minded though and kept developing the four stroke until it was not only competitive, but dominant and the road race series changed and suddenly everyone had to run 4 strokes. Also regarding the legality of these bikes - the AMA will cave like nothing you have ever seen before. They have absolutely no backbone - they know that they are not needed. If Honda raises #$%#+&, the AMA will let the 150 race if it's not legal already. MP

Hell, eariler in the year i saw a 15 year old kid own 125A on a kx100 at southwick - a track where power and wheelsize MATTERS. I have seen riders win on 125's, it just takes more EFFORT. Its not that you cant win on a 2 stroke...because trust me, you can. Its that people dont want to work that hard. Last year, the fair class rule missed passing by ONE VOTE, and if the AMA has kept their mind thinking like that...the CRF150 will not have a chance. And, no, Honda does not have a say in what the AMA does. Thats why the AMA was able to pass the 144 rule and allllmooosssttt past the fair class rule, COMPLETELY against what the manufacturers wanted.

| i miss the two strokes. they are fun, cheap, light and easy to maintain. looks like the 150 is just one more nail in the coffin. four strokes are fast as hell and cool but in my opinionnot much is cooler than the rasp of a piped two stroke. |

| The only good thing about 4 strokes is pitbike's; The greatest all around rider in the world still chooses the 2 stroke |

| a 4 stroke engine has to be twice the size of the 2 stroke -- to compete -- and a 275cc two stroke will blow away a 450 -- the big problem is the epa -- two strokes are being phased out -- and all of the development $ is going into 4 strokes -- so what did i do this year -- i got a 450 - because the writing is on the wall -- |

| The 2 stroke will be completely gone from big racing by the very near future. Too bad too, all of the skills that you develope from learning to ride a 2 stroke will also disappear. All things that most take for granted like carrying your speed through the corner, learning to time the hit for a rythem section, winning the race because you are the best rider, not because the real best rider could not get a bike restarted after a bobble. The real crime though is the kids that would race but quit because their parents can not afford the maintaince to keep a 4 stroke race bike competitive. I love all things on 2 wheels, 2 stroke, 4 stroke, pedals, whatever. But the death of the 2 stroke will truely be a very sad day!!!!!!!! |

| imo the races will never be the same without two strokes, going to the nationals at southwick a few years ago and hearing the the 125s screaming by sounded alot better might i add showed some true skills in riding, 4 strokes are predicutable 2 strokes arnt and thats what made the races so interesting to watch. |

| I will miss the two strokes. I grew up around them. My dad used to MX before I was born until I was around 10 y/o. I will miss the smell of Klotz and the sound. The new 4 strokes are still fun to watch race. As for the 150r and e. I can't wait to see one up close. I also can't wait to see what the other companies come out with next year. |
