| I noticed a little something in my first post. It was supposed to say "junk" as that is what some of these companies proclaim.
Sure I've seen it. You've seen it. Just look at some of the products sold and then go to eBay and look at some of the knock off bikes - suddenly you go "No way that looks just like a..." and when you question them about it they go "Ummm uhhh"
My point in the first note was that some of these companies are selling us their "great" stuff and it's really the stuff they call Chinese "junk" so they are trying to promote themselves by putting down the companies they are buying containers full of product/bikes from.
I actually have seen a lot of bikes that I think look fantastic. They look like they have the right geometry, the right "look" of the plastic and frame etc... like legit little bikes. Of course I have no clue how the shock or forks work on them...
But that's another good question - When I see some of these little bikes that look legit - I'm always curious what would happen if you stuck a decent shock, forks and maybe a Honda motor in the chassis...
That way you'd have a little bike with aluminum rims, disc brakes, possibly a chromoly frame or aluminum perimeter frame etc... |
