Re: CHP '08 Texas Mini Nationals

Spanky runs some good races. I have been riding at his track on my 50's and KLX since it opened and it is always a blast. Should be killer.

Your kid isn't as fast as you think he is. I didn't know the arrogant mini dad attitude made it to pitbiks yet. jeez

I don't think he was being the "arrogant mini dad" as you put it. I think that he was just saying that not everyone likes to race a track where you have to "Go Big". It's all been said already and the track looks good, everyone of all skill levels can race it without worries of do or die sections.

BTW-Unless you have seen Austin on his 85's lately you don't know what you are talking about, that kid is the fastest 13yr. old 65lb. little dude I have ever seen.

I know who he is. He goes good, but there is always someone faster. He should have left his kid out of it and just commented on the track.

I don't see anywhere that he was claiming that his kid is the fastest, all that was said was that just because his kid will go big, does't mean everyone else will. It is all about building a track that EVERYONE of every skill level can go out and race on and have fun. That is what Pitbike racing is all about, HAVING FUN! It is NOT the AMA SX series! All the point being made was having a good safe track that no-one felt too afraid to race. There is no need to take a stab at someone personally, or there kid!! I know them both and they are good people who care about the sport. They don't want to see people get discouraged with the races and stop going because the track is too hard for there skill level. You seem like a good person, so I am sure that you did not mean to take a personal stab, but you did and that is just not cool.

I wasnt trying to be arrogant at all. I was trying to say that most people who rides pitbikes dont or cant go big. Most guys do it for fun and if you make all the jumps big and they cant jump then its no fun. I want to see the sport grow and if people arent having fun it wont. Thats all. And yes there is always someone faster.

OK, I can agree with that. Your kid does go good. I see where you are coming from now. But your initial statement gave me flash backs of my big bike days and I hated the way mini dads acted at the tracks. I have seen dads tape their kid's broken hands to the bars to finish a race because they were leading a points series. I have seen dads flip their kids off because they were not winning. I have seen dads brag about their kid and talk **** about another persons son to start fights. I didn't want to see pitbikes ruined.

Shut up and go race your SSR.

You brining a 10" to this? Or just the 12"? We all know Mike's not letting you on the 150. If they make an age limit class who knows maybe I will bring out the wife's 150.

Andrew, actually I think I was the one with the cocky mini-dad comment (see above) but really my son has never raced his pitbike and I dont really like to see kids racing them, but I will make an exception for this race and Hunter is fired up to do it.

man we are pumped too! our 110/150 should be in tomorrow. colton cleared almost everything on his 125 12in. bike last week. a guy at work bought it, so we ordered the 150.
he is no where near as fast as hacksaw, but he was fast, and his style looked a lot like him.
funny seing him pass bigbikes on that thing.
