Re: CHP '08 Texas Mini Nationals

The part where the life flight was on is the day track section which is a section not in the pitbike race.

Spanky will make it safe, but challenging. There are parts where people can hit jumps or squash them. It will separate the top riders from the mid riders, but will be safe at the same time.

I wasn't close to crashing until my throttle stuck on the POS SSR I was riding (built bike had a problem with the triple tree bolts). I thought Kennys cousin would get a picture of me crashing in front of him anyways...lol

Re: CHP '08 Texas Mini Nationals

yes the track will be changed by then. 1 yr after i opened the track, i completely changed everything, even the layout. there hasnt been 1 race yet that somthing wasnt changed for. i will not redesign the track for this race, but squidlie and i have some good ideas on what we want to add. besides that, i allready have two sections that im redesigning...just for the heck of it.
it is an average 1 min. lap for big bikes. as it is now, pitbike pro's can clear everything, and the average pitbike guy can jump atleast part of everything. the track is technical, but not supercross. (meaning) you can hit every jump with speed, and if not enough to double, you can down side the takeoff without stopping on the top.

im pretty stoked to have the chance to run this race, and i can tell you that we have a scoring system that runs perfect. we use trackside at everyone of our races. we average 200-250 at each one our races, and in the last two years have had less than 5 scoring concerns, and they were all resolved within 10 min. besides that we have a 40 hr hard drive camcorder for scoring backup.
anyone who wants to see how we run things, we are planning a mini series at this time.
HM give me a shout on this, so we can plan around the OK. stuff
Squidlie, you too.

no worries, we'll plan around this race/series...I really think tho that you need to bring little man up to hang out, and take a look at the track Veggie built here at Kenny's house. He can throw together some super nice stuff in a very small area with limited dirt in no time at all. The stuff that I saw in progress next to the big track is a little too small, esp for modded bikes...but like you said the big bike track is very do-able just very different if you are used to small tight mini tracks. Your track can accomodate a loaded gate, with big classes and no one has to worry about getting all wadded up and too close and yea. No 'Get your elbows off my bars type of riding 20 riders deep on a one lane track.

That track was just for fun, no races were meant to be on it. More for Saturday night bar banging for kids and adults before Sunday races while Spanky is prepping the main track. It was put there cause the lights are right there and easy to light up.

Re: CHP '08 Texas Mini Nationals

yeah, i was standing behind you, just to watch one of those award winning starts, and when the gate dropped, i was like DAMN!

New News, we will be holding a series for pitbikes and minis, starting in about 6 weeks, more than likely it will all be at our track, on 2 or 3 diffrent tracks.

OK, here are some pics from the last race. Not great, but will give you an idea (thanks to afroracing)

Kennys_cousin

Guessing on this one, but think Squidlie in a corner...

Whoops section...

Single to table after whoops... (double before whoops behind him)

Step down before finish... (xr70 w/ 88 kit)

Step down after finish line...(Amber86 "Bunny Racer")

Re: CHP '08 Texas Mini Nationals

i have came up with some track changes, nothing drastic, but it is very raceable for pitbikes right now, but by this summer it will be even more pitbike raceable... nothing do, or die.
we will also have practice the night before the pitbike race for everyone who wants to come.
for everyone near the track, we will be announcing a spring pitbike series within a few weeks.

Re: CHP '08 Texas Mini Nationals

We have raced Spanky's events for a couple of years now and have never had a problem at all, scoring or otherwise.

We also look forward to running the Pitbike National and taking home 1st place in the 12" youth class.
