Re: what would get people to show up for races at blue diamond? The intermediate track would be the place to have it. They have lots of doubles and tables that can be done on a modded bike, but not really a stocker. The track is still fun on a stocker, plus they combined the expert and the intermediate track so the lap times are super long. And Dave Segal is a pretty cool owner who is always looking for more events and races to promote. He pretty muck helped create the Delmarva mx series, so i'm sure he would be down for something. maybe they could start a series with blue diamond, the landing, snake creek, or englishtown

| Re: what would get people to show up for races at blue diamond? Blue Diamond is run by some really cool guys and they have a super laid back attitude. I think the biggest thing that'd help is a concrete schedule of around six or seven races. I came all the way down from central NY for a race, only to get there and have no one even realize there was supposed to be a race that night. It worked out because they let me ride the track for free, but was a little bit of a let down as it was to be my first official pit bike race. With a set schedule, they could promote it adequately and attain sponsors. I have been down there three or four times and the track is fun, but I think the jumps could be made to be a little more fun and maybe slightly less technical so small mistakes are a little more easily forgiven. Don't get me wrong, I like technicality, but some people find it pretty intimidating. I especially don't like the idea of crashing off that third tabletop and landing into that concrete wall berm! | Re: what would get people to show up for races at blue diamond? ok everyone, i just went to the track to talk to Allan after work today and talked to em about hookin up some races and to see about practicing. he said that they wana start getting some races together but not gona start till june probably so that means just stick it out till then and wen they have em everyone show up to prove that there are ppl that wana ride there. hopefully we can push and have races through to november. he said they will probably keep them on the friday or saturday nights. and as far as practices go anyone can go and sign up to practice as long as they are open for riding. which is wed through sun, as long as there is not a big bike race on a sunday then u can practice. also, they have the 4wheeler track in the back that mxrs can ride on too, it would be pretty fun on minis too, the jumps are pretty cool and easy out there. it would be the same $ to ride the minis for practice as big bikes though! |

Re: what would get people to show up for races at blue diamond? i agree with TheCRKid. the races should probably be the day before a big bike race like the 2up series and etown. I went to the etown race last year on the weekend of the kawasaki race of champions and there was a pretty good turn out

Re: what would get people to show up for races at blue diamond? i will mention that to them about some sat night races instead of fri. and as far as the concrete bowl turns i doubt their comin out unless enough people complain about it and they see that there is a big enough interest to make it worth it to them. we should all get together and have a ride day over there, just everyone go on the same day to practice and have a good turn out for a sweeet fun ride day.

Re: what would get people to show up for races at blue diamond? I went to a couple of races last year at Blue Diamond just to watch. Its only about 20 mins from me. The track is awesome. I really hope they start having some races. We really need to let them know that ppl want to race or ride pitbikes there.

Re: what would get people to show up for races at blue diamond? Blue diamond had a 60 rider turn out for the first pitbike race, I have the moto-line up to prove it! CONCRETE BURMS- Just ride it, they make it new and intresting, no one can bitch about the burms more then me, I rode over one... I am from Philly, and am more then happy to make the hour trip to come race minis. Lets get a head count, and a day to head down there, and we will all just show up at the track to session on the mini track, and maybe that will show blue diamond that they should get something going. Would 20 of you be intrested in just going down and practising on the track one day? because I think that would turn some heads, and from there, we just need to advetise and support the program, bring in out side sponsors like pizza places, and local buisness, ANYTHING
