Re: Webb's Pit Bike Fundraiser-Sept. 20th

The address to the event is 2144 N. Deodate Rd, Elizabethtown, Pa 17057. You can try to Mapquest or Google Map it, but it won't put you exactly where the event is. It will put you a little north, but within a mile. I will have signage from all roads leading into the event. Things are starting to shape up for this event, it's going to be fun.

Ok, Mapquest will put you right at the event, but Google Maps will put you a little north within a mile.
Basically, you have to come in off of Rt. 283. If your coming from the EAST, Take 283 west towards Harrisburg and get off at the Elizabethtown/Rt. 743exit, bottom of ramp take a right and follow Rt. 743 about 2.7 miles, make a right onto Rt. 341 and go approx. 3/4 miles and make a right onto N. Deodate Rd. (This would be the second right that you can make), follow N. Deodate Rd approx. 1/2 mile and the event will be on the right. You will see signs along the way.

If your coming from the west, Take Rt. 283 east towards Lancaster and get off at the Elizabethtown/743 Exit, bottom of the ramp take a left and follow Rt. 743 about 2.8 miles, Make right onto Rt. 341 and go approx. 3/4 miles, make a right onto N. Deodate Rd (This would be the second right that you can make), follow N. Deodate Rd. Approx. 1/2 mile and the event be on the right. You will see signs along the way.

If your coming Pa Turnpike, you would want to get off at Exit 247, which is Harrisburg East. As soon as you get off the exit, take Rt. 283 towards Lancaster, Pa. Then follow directoins above.

I will updating this event in the upcoming weeks.

Re: Webb's Pit Bike Fundraiser-Sept. 20th

Things are starting to come together. Getting support from local and regional and hopefully national sponsors for this event. It will be a backyard race with a big race feel. The track is coming together nice. A little more technical than last year, but everything is safe. Anything from kids to open guys will have fun. Remember....this is a fundraiser and it will a lot of fun, no pressure.
Reitz, however, will be defending his title in 12" open.

It's the only thing on my schedule at this point for that weekend. But, it's four hours away so I need to make sure I can get pre-entered, I'd hate to put on that many miles and not be able to ride. I probably have two or three friends that'd be coming along also.

Pre-Entry People: Please drop me an email to Jspider70@aol.com. Give me your name, classes you would like to run and how many people would be attending, whether their riding or not. That way I can plan for everyone.

Classes will be as follows but are subject to change, depending on who signs up: We will leave it open to suggestions at this point:
10 and under open
11-16 open (10" and 12")
16 and over open (10" and 12")
Vet Class (35+)
Stock 110 Open (all ages) (Must be stock)

Jeff Webb #448 "The Linebacker"
McBride Sports Accessories

P.S. Yes, dogs allowed as long as you keep them under control and not running on the track area. We have 3 dogs ourselves, so no problem at all.

Re: Webb's Pit Bike Fundraiser-Sept. 20th

If you pre-register by email, you will be guarenteed a spot, plus, if your coming from a good distance, I'm not going to deny anyone. I wouldn't do that to anybody, however, PLEASE pre-register as soon as possible so I can plan accordingly for this event. I want to make sure everyone eats, drinks and rides plenty!

Re: Webb's Pit Bike Fundraiser-Sept. 20th

any idea of what time everything will get started, I need to know if I'll have to come down Friday night and if I do, are there any cheap hotels in the area or someone willing to rent a couch for the night?

How about we call it the Vet class, but you have to be, lets see......I will be 38 by the race, you have to be at least 38. What are you talking about Reitz, your just a pup yet. You don't want to come to the big boy class and get schooled by us old heads. LOL

Re: Webb's Pit Bike Fundraiser-Sept. 20th

Will have information about motels in the area. There is one motel only a couple miles from the track. I never been there, but there is a KOA camp ground there too. I will check on that one. Other hotels and motels are not too close. Maybe 15 mins or so. They are nicer though. I will get a list and phone numbers real soon.
