The owner is not bike person and is not doing this to make money but he does like to see folks have fun. I will try to get a website setup with the full schedule flyer and rules in pdf format so folks can view print and distribute. We need your support and help recruiting people to join us. Craig |

1 - Does anybody truely run a show room stock bike anymore ?? I mean you can't add hd springs , +1's or even a better rear shock ? Plus , have you seen the Extreme 50's or even the SDG 50's and how they come stock ??? 2 - Why only up to 110cc and not 124 ?? 3 - None of the classes depict rim size or even type of motors allowed . Like couldn't a 150 crf run by the way rules that are posted right now ? 4 - If I remember correctly ? Didn't we run 20 lap races last year ?? I could be wrong on this but the races we ran last year had us finishing around 9:30 pm or so . With all of those extra calsses added , we'll be there till midnight or later , no ??? We'd have ta run 10 laps or less I guess if all of those were to be ???

Hi JohnnyB You ask good questions. If we need to tweek the classes so be it. I've had one day to put this together and get a practice and race dates out, plus write a rulebook all so we can start next week. I had to put something out there, if you have a change in mind document it and send it to me at evilempireracing@comcast.net For The primary rule on all bikes is that 12 inch rear wheel maximum. The pocketbike and scooter class which are limited to 50cc two stroke. The other classes are limited to horizontal engines of less than 150cc. I realize that most folks don't have showroom bikes but the first time we showed up at a track thats what we had. We had fun but got our butts blown by. We need an entry point class. If no one shows for it we don't run it. Last year we didn't have enough people, so if we get more folks great and we can combine like classes to keep the time down. How many times last year was it just 2 or 3 bikes out there for a race. So maybe pocketbikes and scooters run together and we score the two classes. Here are the rider and motocycle requirements Rider Requirements • Full face helmet – Dirt or Street style in good condition • Eye protection – Goggles, glasses or shield • Boots – Leather or Cordura over the ankle minimum • Gloves – Full fingered with no holes • Riding suit – Leather, Cordura or MX gear with hard shell knee, shoulder and elbow protection (Complete coverage with no exposed skin or undergarments) • Back protector - Recommended General Bike Requirements All bikes must meet these minimum requirements. General • Front number plate • Bodywork securely attached. If any bodywork is removed, all bracing and fairing stays must be removed from the exposed area. • Street items like headlights, taillights, turn signals and reflectors removed or taped over Controls • Self-closing throttle. • Functioning engine kill switch. • Bar end plugs or grips on both handlebars. • Clutch and brake levers with ball ends. • Rear brake lever in free working order. • Shift lever secure. • Front and rear brakes function properly. • Footrests rounded on end (no sharp edge). Chassis • Maximum 12 inch rear tire. • Wheel rims and tires in good condition. • Forks and shock leak-free and in good condition. • Exhaust pipe securely mounted. Engine • 4 Stroke horizontal engines of under 150cc only except Pocketbikes and Scooters which are limited to 50cc two stroke • No leaking fluids. • Oil drain and filler plugs secured. • Air cleaner and exhaust of appropriate design required. • Unleaded pump gas only (no additives) We'll make sure everyone gets track time.

As far as Catch Cans go, we may have to make them manditory so if you have them or are thinking of them please put them on. I am meeting with the track owner Thursday at the practice to see what his needs are. As Oldschool said the owner is concerned about the damage dragging parts have done to the new pavement. So we may have to look at ways to minimize that.

Im not sure what can be done if someone goes down...only to have free moving pegs. and Catch cans can prevent potential hazzards. and ill be installing them tomorrow. got to find a drill press to safety wire the drain plugs.....
