yeah yeah

the Bridgestone Japanese global site has all the race tires............. and general tires listed as well.

a very cool layout of what they have! not alot of glitz and glam-O-rama for the poser crowd

The BT39SS is also listed as a 12" WET not just the standard BT39SS racing 10" tire

Oh what joy those must give in nasty conditions.

I used a set of MT60 racing wets on a street bike a few winters ago and they were awesome for commuting on in cold wet conditions

Yeah the 1 year old "new" 10" soft compound SAVA tires i have in my shop dent with a fingernail just like the TT92GPs i have (not that thats any real test) and compared to the BT601SS i have which do not dent anywhere as easy............ and the 1 used TT91 i have is even harder than the BT601SS ( we noticed this when purchased new)

man if i knew where to get them 12" rains i would have bought them by now..........

If my buddy goes back to Japan we are getting a coupla sets of either the 12" BT39SS WETs or the the TT72WETs......... in 12" not 10" i have not seen them via either manufacter in a 10" size.

I'd bet that anyone that does big biz would want to import these tires as theres a nice racing base now to support a sizable shippment of the newest of new 12" /10" racing tires from Japan. Even though people are jumping ship and now down grading the BT and TT tires in favor of the SAVA tires....... when just a few months ago they raaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaved about how awesome their TT91 tires were poke poke lol but really you'd think this would you not? I mean me and my kids will use a total of 12-16 tires a season............... how many other racers use lots of tires? LOTS i'm sure!

this is a 10" thread not a 12" thread

Check out some of these and see what you think.
Bridgestone-Hoop
Duro-HF912A
Maxxis-M6o29
Michelin-Bopper
Michelin-S1
I didn't list the IRC, Dunlop, or the Pirelli cause everyone was talking about them, I'm kinda liking the Bopper but I don't know how they'd look on a standard 1.4 or 1.6 rim? Opinions Please

Wow dude your gonna make it real easy for us to whip you this summer with those tire choices

With all the suspension mods, motor mods, training and what ever else we have all done in the last 12 months your gonna race with standard scooter tires?

The thread was originally intended for posts about "real" race tires not standard hoops and scooter tires relabled as "minimotard" tires.

If your choosing a race tire for looks.......... your the best critic for your bike.

I would rock the shink 009 tires...they are a real nice ten inch super motard tire and shinko makes real great radials for street bikes so you know the tires are reliable and track great...plus the price is not bad

Well after only 1 day at a very short track our semi moded Xtreme CRII with 10" 2.15 rims with SAVA MC0's has really impressed a few of us in our little crew. My son has gained alot of confidence in just this 1 time on the track with these tires. If he can beat me they must be sweet

The bike was able to always beat a stock 06 KX65 with 2.15" x 12" rims fitted with TT92GP's........... deff not the TT92s fault. As the SAVA clad bike was able to pull away in the corners from the similar 4S bikes with 12" TT91GP's and BT601SS's. The KX was just barely able to hold its own in the corners and the straight away.

Weather was 65degrees and late in the day/early evening. These tires should last 4-5 race days in temps lower than 70 degrees no problem. We ran the bike for about 60 minutes with very little wear? They stuck like glue. Each of us that rode the bike stepped off impressed in a very positive way after just 15-20 laps.

We shall see what happens at BeaveRun Motorsports Complex Wilson's Circuit May 5th with Ohio YSR League

Re: Tire Size choices in 10" (available stateside)

Man those SAVA MC0 10" slicks RIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIP aZZ

I had a blast racing my sons Xtreme with these tires mounted up!

Took me a few laps to get used to the bike/tires but once i got in a groove they were incredible You want instant grip there is no other tire like these!

I was racing a KX65 before so the transition was there to over come.... i just went faster ever lap.... i think with enough time like 15 more laps i coulda just about got my elbow on the pavement

WOW MAN i gotta get the MC31s for my KX65

Re: Tire Size choices in 10" (available stateside)

Sorry if i missed it but what do you guys use for 10" raintires?
I'm running Bridgestones ML50 'cause i can't find anything else for wet tracks but they're not real raintires, more like intermediates. No complaints on dry tracks as long as you dont get them to hot you can push them pretty hard but when it gets wet...Kaboem

Re: Tire Size choices in 10" (available stateside)

I have just bought a set of Bridgstone BT39SS tyres and want to know what you guys think of them compared to the Sava's. Hopefully they will be OK as I am riding on 10 inch rims and a mate of mine is on Dunlop 207 RS on his 12 inch wheels. At least I will get to try both tyres and rim sizes. I do prefer the 10's at the moment and the bike look better on the smaller rims.
