Re: 08 pitster twin disk motard front end

it is possible. why not just make a mount on the front of the fork leg and then make a bracket and mount the same caliper on that both sides?

im thinking the problem with making a two rotor hub is getting the rotor centered

yes, if you are burning your front rotors and want stop faster from higher speeds then you need another unit to lessen the friction on each. then the heat will be less on each

you can prolly steal a front twin master cylinder unit from an older street bike

These hubs look like they would do the job.

Get two rotor mounts, and......

Re: 08 pitster twin disk motard front end

I had thought about doing the same with mine. The only thing needed is a hub for twin discs as getting a pair of forks with caliper mounts is easy and the caliper just needs a bracket. I do have a caliper and if you look at the pictures you will see how small it is.

Re: 08 pitster twin disk motard front end

i have seen a bike on here with dual rotors. anyone knows who owns it? it was a red and black bike with one of those Super dual Cam heads. maybe we can ask him where he go the front rim with dual disk. i have fork legs up the ass and small Formula Calipers so it wouldnt be adding too much weight. anyone know whos bike it was? i think the rotors said BREMBO on them but im sure they was prob fake

The bike is a 07 moto vert pro. He used two left marzocchi fork legs. Custom made caliper mounts & front hub was machined to fit right disc.

thats a pretty sick bike right there, just not really into the motorvert frame.I wish workz would make a midsize perimeter frame bike...small bikes have gone belly up, all about the midsize now...
