| Re: $999 MidSize Rollers... I can confirm this as well. The piststers and OGM come with steel rims. I don't get it, but it is what it is. I have new rims on the way. I already bent my front rim. Awesome bikes, but I don't get why they use steel rims with such lovely hubs. |

If the steel ones bend, can you Imagine how the Chinaluminum ones must be. ![]() I put Excel wheels on front and rear with Bucannon spokes, and haven't had a problem since. I used a KTM65 front, and a KX65 rear with the cast hubs. Last edited by FASTFREAK693; 04-21-2008 at 07:09 AM.

| Re: $999 MidSize Rollers... Does anyone on here know the meaning of the word alloy? You might want to look it up, and then change your posts. I did, and now I'm smarter for doing so. |

| Re: $999 MidSize Rollers... I do, however believe, when people say "alloy" they usually are refering to Aluminum. Most of the time, anyhow. |

| Re: $999 MidSize Rollers... Nowadays alloy means American recycled scrap metal with an ever so slight amount of pure steel mixed in so they can call it ALLOY instead of pot metal. |

| Re: $999 MidSize Rollers... Wow, I was under the impression that the rims were a cheaper grade aluminum, I had do idea they are steel.. The Excels must really give the bike a diet. How much can you feel the difference? I just did a magnet check on min and have a steel front and aluminum rear. Front is from and x4 and rear is from an x2. Did the x2's have front and rear aluminum.? Last edited by hitaburmedusty; 04-19-2008 at 04:53 PM. |

| Re: $999 MidSize Rollers... To me, the weight is not as much of an issue as strength. I have pro wheels 7000 series aluminum rims on order. Steel will bend much easier than aluminum. |

For those looking, the kx65 front is the wrong number of spokes and the kx 60 rear I guess works (based on the above post) but the holes would be at a sharper angle than ideal because the kx 60 has a much larger hub, being drum brakes. I'm told the stock spokes work. If anyone knows exactly what to order to get buchanan spokes for the billet type hubs, let me know. I might want to do that down the road.

| Hola! If there are any specific questions you have, Please call us and we'll discuss any details with you at length. When I say 'Moto Vert Clones', my meaning is the same base bike with 3 significant changes; Fast Ace suspension (not DNM) ...we will confirm the 2008 fork/shock quality ASAP. Cast hubs (not Billet) ....same as you have seen. Oil cooler under the steering stem (NOT in the left shroud) ....same stuff you have seen before. If you want Vert pricing just email/call us, as 40 units are floating over now according to Vert USA (Texas). These units were spec'd to make people happy with their VALUE @ or below $999. If we use DMN units on the next batch... they will be sold at an even lower cost. Tons of pics of these on May 1 from Vegas! cheers, bob |
