What shootout? I hear you on the people trying to race stuff that is not done. We have a pretty serious street racing scene here in the mid part of MD. I'm not talking about 13 second rice shooters. We have 8-9 second street cars running around here.

Sorry man but that aint no street car, my car only has 357 ci motor, stock suspension, 14" wheels and a bench seat in front, and I can still run 12s on pump gas, you have more money in the first two feet of your car than I put into my entire vehicle.

it is a street car and I get tired of people saying what is and isnt a street car ! this car sees about 2500 miles a year and thats more than most so called street cars .when we ran nmca pro street we had to drive 50 miles to qualify to race and we ran 7.21 @ 197 in our chevelle and had to have turn sigs, hazards and everything and I see people trailoring 10 sec cars because they are scared to drive thier so called st cars on the street

That still dont make it a street car, if you took that thing out to the street races they wouldnt even look at it twice, nobody in there right mind would even try to compete against that car on the street, thats what makes it NOT a street car.
I understand what youre saying you abide by the rules of the class youre in, but the rules are for RACING your car at the RACE TRACK. None the less, I think you have one bad ass ride.

the dart has been down the track 2 times at palmdale and we drove it 110 miles there and home ,it is not a race car it is a street car built for and drivin on the street and there is alot of cars that can match it on the street .i started street racing in the early 80's and there was alot of fast cars out there ,now the racing is few and far between

Thats when I was out there in OC in the 8os, back then it was a ticket, now they take your car from what I've heard. The last time I went to the street races in Anahiem it cost me $120.00 spectator ticket and a few hundred bucks to get my friends car out of impound. That was it for me.

Yeah I grew up around the Ontario street races. I havent been in a while thought because its just outa control. It used to be cool in the early 90's. Now its all ricer cars and all they do is drive around like idiots all night. Hardly ever any actual racing going on.
