Re: KLX/Pitster conversion

He means that the swinger retails for around $150. Not bad considering that a BBR swinger alone has got to be in the $600 range. Does the Pitster swinger have the brake tab welded to the inside of it? I wonder if the BBR pivot bearing set wiould work in the Pitster arm.... --L*64

Re: KLX/Pitster conversion

Theyre the stock x4r bars. And the swinger is only $114 but you need to get little stuff like the swinger axel and nut, chain guide, chain slider, and leverage block. My buddy had a couple parts for me I used, but I don't think the swinger setup came out to more the about $150.

Call BBR and they're probably gonna hassle you cuz they have to take it out of one of their super pro packages. I paid $330

Re: KLX/Pitster conversion

Does anyone know if a klx rear wheel will fit in the swingarm. I assume there will be some brake tab/arm bracket fabbing, but will the wheel physically bolt up and tighten up?

I heard it wouldnt from Staggs cause i had asked them about that, im thinking all you need is the whole rear of an x4r, swinger, an wheel then the shock relocated.

Re: KLX/Pitster conversion

Gary M. told me that the KX65 setup he makes should fit that Pitster swinger, which would mean that the KLX wheel should fit as lomg as you have the KLX spacers. He may not have ever tried it though.

I know that a Pitster hub is fatter than a KLX wheel. If the KLX wheel does bolt up, you'd need all the KLX parts to get it in. Post a pic if you try it. _-L*64
