| Re: Yet another CA legal Panda! Do it! You won't regret it. Then you'll buy an exhaust that cost as much as the bike then you will regret it. Then you'll go for a ride and you won't regret it. Rinse, spin, repeat... |

| Re: Yet another CA legal Panda! Dang, that one in Lawndale sounds tempting. i was looking at a 69 ct70 before, but that Panda caught my eye. Price being equal, which would be better, a 69 CT with 3k miles, or that almost new Panda 50? Do the 12V electricals make any meaningful difference? I'm a total minibike newb, I ride a sportbike and a 650 enduro most of the time. |

I personally like the Panda/Monkey because it takes up a lot less space. The CT70 is a couch compared to the Panda/Monkey. Bigger size and bigger seat. They have about the same number Aftermarket parts. Price being equal, I'd take the Panda, but that's just me and my tiny garage. The ones you are looking at are all 6volts. They are easily converted to 12volts. Click link: 6v to 12v electrical system Last edited by shw911; 05-19-2008 at 12:00 PM.

| Re: Yet another CA legal Panda! XR75 swingarm showed up today from UPS. I'm pulling the 4 speed zongshen 125 out of my pitbike for a new motor. Still need to figure out what to do with the front end, wheels, and brakes. I want it to be nice, but on a budget. |

| Re: Yet another CA legal Panda! I have to bump this - great story today. I live close enough to work that I can go home for lunch, so when I saw that 3 guys in my area rode their Harleys in today, I jumped on the Panda and brought it back to work. In the very front of the building: Dyna Glide, Wide Glide, Road King, Mike's Panda. |

"You know, I would, but I can't. I need to swap a new motor into this thing before it'll be able to take off in first gear without me kicking the ground like a skateboard." With that, I snicked the shifter down one notch and into the godawful short first gear, and cracked the throttle open as far as it would go. About fourteen feet later, I shifted to second. I allowed myself a quick smirk under my helmet, knowing that the guard was in awe of both Jincheng horsepower I had just given him the privilege of seeing. After adjusting my helmet, cracking my back, itching my junk, having a sip of coffee, adjusting my mirror, and wondering if I would finally break out of my hitting slump tonight in softball, I clicked into third gear, getting myself into full tuck in order to reach breakneck speeds of 25-27 miles per hour (depending on the wind). Pulling up to the parking area of my particular building, I noticed that the few other moto riders had come in today on their Harleys, carefully lining them up next to each other for maximum *$ poser style points. How thoughtful of them indeed to leave a nice little 3x3 shaded area under one of the little trees next to them. Just about Panda sized, if I don't say so myself. As I carefully wrangled the 50cc of fury into the shaded spot, thumbed the kill button, and engaged the fork lock, yet another guard pulled up. It was a buddy of mine, so no hassles. He thought it was just as funny as I did that my little bike was in front of the three harleys. "Just wait until I swap the motor, front end, swingarm, and seat" I told him. "It'll almost be as loud and as fast as these 2 wheeled Winnebagos." With that, I carefully placed my helmet onto my right side handlebar because I never have figured out how to work those funky little helmet locks on the side of the rear wheel, and headed in to finish my workday...
