Re: Lets see everyone's Z!

Looks like XR70 forks? How did you get the ass end up so high?I'd like mine to have XR70 forks and maybe like +4 swing arms and big ass shocks when I get to the "finish line" with my build.

Re: Lets see everyone's Z!

wooo.. They are mr 50 forks, custom made tripple clamps, lenghened swinger and xr75 works rear shocks. And snow hawg tires. Stock motorm used to be a big bore, but it is fun having a stocker around..

Re: Lets see everyone's Z!

Yeah I'm gonna throw a stock XR70 engine on mine.Down the road I might take the GPX off of my 70 and put it on the Z,then part out the 70.It would be pretty fun with a GPX124.

Re: Lets see everyone's Z!

Hey yz80rider586, looks good, what swingarm/shocks you using? Did it need any fabrication to fit?

Re: Lets see everyone's Z!

XR75 swingarm. Needs to have 3/16 cut off the inside of both mounts to fit the Z50R frame. CT70 shocks. Any 330 or 335mm shocks will work as long as they have 10mm mounts.

Re: Lets see everyone's Z!

Too bad you had to mod the frame to put that swing arm or I'd do it too.I'll just have to pony up the dough for a Kitaco swing arm.

Re: Lets see everyone's Z!

Oh wait, did I read it wrong?Did you mod the swing arm and not the frame? Then I'd do it.

Re: Lets see everyone's Z!

You can mod the frame or the swingarm. Modding the frame is easier, but it can cause damage because there is less surface area for the pivot to ride on. So modifying the swingarm is better because it will not oval the frame.

This is what happens if you cut the frame. This cost me a frame.
