Re: Lets see everyone's Z!

Sweet! What did you have to do to the front hub to get it to fit in the SP-5 forks? Got any close ups of that?

i had to remove equal amounts of metal from either side the hub as well as reduce the size of the brake lug on the fork legs to match the z50 brake plate, then used the crf50 brake cable arm

i dont currently have a camera rigged up but will soon post updated current pics

Re: Lets see everyone's Z!

I put together a ratty z50 this weekend with left over parts I still had after parting out my built up CRF50/88 last week. I needed to have at least one beater bike. The motor I got a while back from FastMC and it has a 88 TB kit and 70 head along with a lighting coil. The frame is actually a Lifan frame, but I have it titled and plated. I just need to add lights, turn signals, a horn, etc.
The exhaust is off my CRF50 that I parted out. I'll need to find a Z exhaust for it along with an eventual build up with decent parts.

This one isn't perfect, but it's not bad. It's also finished. You can re-live those memories without breaking a sweat.

Yep. I didn't want to cut my crf pipe just yet. I picked up a titanium pipe a while back that was damaged, so now I need to spend some time mocking it up, cutting and welding the ti pipe to fit this bike.

I wanted to run the motor, and it was the only exhaust that I had that would kind of work.
