a 98 cr80? if it's not too beat up and it runs good. then yeah, you did get a pretty good deal for $800. however, i don't know if it's the best bike to start your girlfriend on. it may appear to be a kids bike, but those 2-stroke 80's are pretty quick and have a mean power band! not saying that she won't be able to ride it, but maybe a small 4-stroke would have been better. like a ttr 125, xr 100 etc.
